Lexie Williamson is a fitness writer who specialises in packaging elements of yoga, such as stretching and breathwork, to a wider audience of ‘reluctant relaxers.’

Lexie is the author of four Bloomsbury Publishing books: Move (2020), the Stretching Bible (2017) Yoga for Cyclists (2014), and Yoga for Runners (2014).

British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) and Institute of Yoga Sports Science trained, she teaches a practical, functional style of yoga designed to appeal to athletes. She works particularly with runners, cyclists, and triathletes, but has taught a range of sportspeople including golfers, rugby players, and sprinters to become more supple and injury resistant.

Lexie is also a guest tutor for the BWY, which runs the UK’s main yoga teacher training qualification, where she delivers sessions on anatomy and physiology and the science of flexibility.

A former editor with Haymarket Publishing, Lexie has also written for a wide range of media as a freelancer, including The Guardian, Women’s Fitness, Cycling Weekly, Athletics Weekly, and Runner’s World.
