Mostly A’s is a speculative novel, which explores the unbearable anxiety of adolescents straining to see their futures in a world in crisis. Set in a segregated near-future London, the story follows three teens and a sentient machine as they navigate their ‘Options’ in the new virtual classroom and work out just how much of their own ‘Hero’s Journey’ they are willing to sacrifice for a collective future. Through a genre-bending structure, and four distinctive voices, Mostly A’s asks big questions about adolescent mental health in the context of social inequalities, education, and digital futures.

Jude’s collaborative work with Karrie Fransman as ‘The Fransisters’ is represented by Sophie Lambert at C&W Agency.
